§ 17-5. Pets prohibited; exceptions.

It shall be unlawful to bring dogs, cats, animals or other pets into the parks or community center owned by the city. This section shall not apply to the following:

(1)

Any guide dog or service dog specially trained, accompanying any deaf person or hard of hearing person, totally or partially blind person, or physically disabled person;

(2)

Any nonhuman primate of the genus Cebus, specially trained, accompanying any person with paraplegia or quadriplegia;

(3)

Any dog performing law enforcement activities under the supervision of a law enforcement officer.
